Vampire Survivors: Crown Explained

Crown in Vampire Survivors: Growth passive explained, XP gain tips, and when to pick Crown over Attractorb.

Crown is Vampire Survivors’ Growth passive — more XP from gems. It feels quiet until you’re two levels ahead of where you “should be and every chest arrives earlier.

What Crown does

Crown increases Growth (experience gain). Faster leveling means:

  • Earlier item ranks and evolutions
  • More chances at the passives you still need
  • Stronger Arcana windows once Randomazzo is unlocked

When Crown is high priority

  • Long stages where compounding XP wins
  • You’re already surviving and want to snowball
  • Builds that need many level-ups to finish two evolutions

Crown vs Attractorb

Passive Job
Crown More XP per gem
Attractorb Collect gems without walking over them

Attractorb stops XP from rotting on the floor. Crown multiplies what you collect. Ideal runs eventually want both; early on, Attractorb often feels better on huge maps, Crown on dense farms.

When to skip it

  • You’re dying — take Wings / Armor / Hollow Heart first
  • An evolution-critical passive is on the level-up screen now
  • The stage is almost over and Growth won’t pay off

Build tip

Pair Crown with Attractorb and a cooldown weapon so kills stay dense. For evolution order, see How to Evolve Weapons.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Crown help every character?

Yes — XP is universal. Fast clear characters feel it most because they generate gems constantly.

Is there an evolution that needs Crown?

Some paths use Growth-related pairs depending on version — confirm in the collection screen. Even without a gate, Crown is a top economy pickup.

Should beginners take it early?

After one survival item, yes if gems are already flowing. If you’re under-leveled because gems are scattered, grab Attractorb first.
