One of the simplest tactics of hiding your computer tower is optimizing the placement of it. Say you’ve got a home office and your desk is shoved against a wall. It’s not at all that difficult to place your tower behind your monitor. This should work quite well, especially depending on the size of your monitor(s).
One thing to keep in mind here is ventilation. Take a look at where the air in your tower is blowing and make sure that’s not too close to the wall. Other than that, you should be good to go!
Mount the tower under the desk
A great option for hiding your computer tower, that isn’t too expensive, is buying a case mount that secures to the underside of your desk. This gives the top of your desk a lot of space and, typically, doesn’t take away much space underneath.
A mount like this is a great idea because, aside from the extra room you’ll get on the top of your desk, many mounts are adjustable. On top of that, most come with some type of padding.

I wouldn’t recommend putting the computer directly on the ground. If you are putting the case on the ground, I’d recommend doing something so you have a little elevation, like buying a computer tower case stand. Again, I would advise using this as a last resort if you have a small office and can’t do anything else.
