So you’ve been playing Vampire Survivors and want to see a Vampire Survivors weapons tier list. We’ve also been playing the game, so we decided to create a tier list ranking all of the items in Vampire Survivors. Our methodology took into consideration the following:

  • Weapon benefits (DPS, survivability, etc.)
  • What item upgrades the weapon
  • What weapon combo would be created because of the weapon pairing

Vampire Survivor Weapons Tiers

S-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

To be considered an S-Tier weapon in Vampire Survivors, it’s essential to have solid damage output, be relatively easy, scale well, and evolve into a solid weapon combo.

Knife

  • Why Knife is an S-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: This weapon gives you complete control over where the damage is going, scales well, and evolves into an S-tier weapon combo. When paired with one of the best Arcanas in Vampire Survivors, Iron Blue Will (VII), Knife becomes even better as it will have the chance to pass through enemies and walls, as well as bounce up to three times!
  • Weapon description: Knife projectile shoots away from your character in the direction you’re facing.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

King Bible

  • Why King Bible is an S-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: King Bible offers solid damage output to start that scales over time. It also provides nice protection over time with increased amount and speed. Seriously, just pick King Bible. Consider starting with Dommario, one of the best characters in Vampire Survivors, as he starts with King Bible.
  • Weapon description: Bibles orbit around your character, damaging enemies and knocking them back.
  • Effects: Scales with every stat bonus.

Santa Water

  • Why Santa Water is an S-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Santa Water is the perfect example of effective crowd control. It evolves into an S-tier weapon combo.
  • Weapon description: Holy water falls from the sky, creating damaging zones that hurt enemies.
  • Effects: Ignores speed.

A-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

Magic Wand

  • Why Magic Wand is an A-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Magic Wand is a very solid weapon, especially for new players. This wand will automatically target and shoot at the closest enemy. Aimbot activate, baby!
  • Weapon description: Automatically fires at the closest enemy.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

Axe

  • Why Axe is an A-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Axe is a weapon that gives you some control, has a high damage output, and evolves into an A-tier weapon combo.
  • Weapon description: High damage axes shoot up from character and fall downwards, damaging enemies that are hit (and eventually passing through enemies).
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

Cross

  • Why Cross is an A-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Cross is a weapon that gets better over time. While slightly difficult to control and lower damage at first, the damage increases as the weapon levels up and eventually becomes an A-tier weapon combo when it evolves into Heaven Sword.
  • Weapon description: Projectile aims at the closest enemy to you and then, like a boomerang, swings back the opposite direction.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

Phiera Der Tuphello

  • Why Phiera Der Tuphello is an A-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: This one takes some skill, as it needs to be paired with Eight the Sparrow to really take off, but can be a very solid choice; this is especially true when the weapon evolves.
  • Weapon description: Shots fire diagonally away from your character.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

Eight the Sparrow

  • Why Eight the Sparrow is an A-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: This is essentially the same weapon as Phiera Der Tuphello, but the shots fire perpendicular.
  • Weapon description: Shots fire diagonally away from your character.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

B-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

Fire Wand

  • Why Fire Wand is a B-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Fire Wand is a solid choice. You start with a high amount of damage, it pairs with an S-tier item (Spinach), and turns into a B-tier weapon combo (Hellfire).
  • Weapon description: Fire shoots out at a random enemy.
  • Effects: Ignores duration.

Shadow Pinion

  • Why Shadow Pinion is a B-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Shadow Pinion is a decent weapon option and evolution, but difficult to control.
  • Weapon description: Shadow Pinion generates damaging zones when your character is moving and strikes when you’re stopped.
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses.

C-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

Garlic

  • Why Garlic is a C-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Garlic is just run of the mill and unimpressive, especially late game (evolves to become a C-tier weapon combo). There are some benefits that are nice at the starts of runs, but it just doesn’t scale well.
  • Weapon description: Enemies are damaged when they enter Garlic’s radius that surrounds your character. This weapon also reduces resistance to knockback and freeze.
  • Effects: Ignores amount, duration, and speed.

Runetracer

  • Why Runetracer is a C-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Runetracer isn’t awful, but it isn’t great. The weapon is hard to control and later evolves into, again, a weapon combo that isn’t the best.
  • Weapon description: Runetracer shoots from your character, passing through enemies and bouncing around.
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses.

Lightning Ring

  • Why Lightning Ring is a C-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Lightning Ring is a crowd-clearing weapon, but never seems to do enough damage to be relied on as a primary damage dealer. Weapons like Santa Water are a better option.
  • Weapon description: Lightning strikes down, hitting random enemies on the field.
  • Effects: Ignores speed and duration.

Bone

  • Why Bone is a C-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Bone is a decent option that can work well at crowd control. There is currently no weapon evolution (as of 5/17/22), which is the primary driver here.
  • Weapon description: Bone projectiles are thrown out that bounce around.
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses.

Cherry Bomb

  • Why Cherry Bomb is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Cherry Bomb is very similar to Bone (although slightly better) as a weapon. There is also currently no weapon evolution (as of 5/17/22).
  • Weapon description: Cherry Bombs are thrown out that bounce around (some of them explode after a time).
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses and luck.

D-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

Whip

  • Why Whip is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Whip is one of the worst weapons in Vampire Survivors because the damage isn’t very impressive and the reach is limited. The weapon turns into Bloody Tear, a slightly better version of Whip.
  • Weapon description: Whip that extends horizontally from your character and passes through enemies.
  • Effects: Ignores both duration and speed.

Peachone

  • Why Peachone is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Peachone can be difficult to aim/land and the base damage actually decreases upon evolution and the cooldown increases.
  • Weapon description: A bird appears, blasting the field in a clockwise motion.
  • Effects: Scales with every stat bonus and movement speed.

Ebony Wings

  • Why Ebony Wings is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Ebony Wings is basically the same as Peachone, except it moves in a counterclockwise direction.
  • Weapon description: A bird appears, blasting the field in a counterclockwise motion.
  • Effects: Scales with every stat bonus and movement speed.

Gatti Amari

  • Why Ebony Wings is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: It’s difficult, if at all possible, to control where Gatti Amari goes. Plus, Stone Mask is the item that evolves Gatti Amari into Vicious Hunger, all of which aren’t fantastic.
  • Weapon description: Cats attack vertically, passing through enemies and occasionally have a reaction when they encounter pickups.
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses and luck.

Carréllo

  • Why Carréllo is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Although, as an item on its own, Carréllo is decent, there is currently no weapon evolution (as of 5/17/22).
  • Weapon description: A bouncing projectile is thrown out that extends back and forth horizontally.
  • Effects: Scales with all stat bonuses and luck.

Celestial Dusting

  • Why Celestial Dusting is a D-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Again, there is no weapon evolution here (as of 5/17/22). Also, the weapon is difficult to control.
  • Weapon description: Projectiles are thrown behind your character as you move. Cooldown reduces while moving.
  • Effects: Ignores speed, scales with movement speed.

F-Tier Weapons in Vampire Survivors

Pentagram

  • Why Pentagram is an F-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Don’t pick up Pentagram if you can avoid it. It’s almost impossible to use early game and isn’t very helpful in the light game, as it evolves into Gorgeous Moon, an F-Tier weapon combo.
  • Weapon description: Occasionally erases everything in sight. This includes experience gems until level 3, where there’s a 25% chance to not erase items. This scales up to 65%. Gorgeous Moon will not remove any items, which is nice, but it just isn’t enough to break Pentagram or Gorgeous Moon out of the F-tier.
  • Effects: Ignores everything but cooldown and luck.

Clock Lancet

  • Why Clock Lancet is an F-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Clock Lancet is primarily an F-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors because it has no weapon evolution (as of 5/17/22). It also isn’t technically a weapon, as it just freezes enemies.
  • Weapon description: Clock Lancet shoots out in lines away from your character, giving you the chance to freeze enemies.
  • Effects: Ignores might, speed, amount, and area.

Laurel

  • Why Laurel is an F-tier weapon in Vampire Survivors: Essentially the same reasoning here as Clock Lancet. Laurel is an F-tier weapon because it’s not technically a weapon and has no evolution (as of 5/17/22).
  • Weapon description: Shields your character from damage while active.
  • Effects: Ignores everything except for cooldown.

And that’s the guide! We hope you found this ranking of Vampire Survivors weapons helpful. Click below for some more useful content:
