If you’ve been playing Vampire Survivors, you know that a huge piece to the success of your runs is the character you play. This is due, in large part, to each character’s stats, as well as their passive abilities. We’ve created a tier list to show you which are the best characters to play in Vampire Survivors based on their starting weapon, bonuses, and stats.

Vampire Survivors Character Tiers

S-Tier Characters in Vampire Survivors

To be considered an S-Tier character in Vampire Survivors, it’s essential to have solid buffs that will be helpful for the beginning and ends of runs. The characters listed here begin with weapon evolutions as well!

Mask of the Red Death

  • Why Mask of the Red Death is an S-tier character in Vampire Survivors: One of the most difficult characters to unlock, Mask of the Red Death provides impressive buffs and an immediate weapon upgrade off the bat! Plus, if you read our Vampire Survivors Best Arcanas tier list, you’ll see that Mark of the Read Death (and his starting weapon), pair very well with the Slash Arcana.
  • Starting weapon: Death Spiral (evolved Axe!)
  • Passives:
    • 100% extra movement speed
    • +20% might
    • 255 max health

    • +1% duration per level (no cap)

    • +1 armor

    • +10% projectile speed every 5 levels (max of +30%)

Christine Davain

  • Why Christine Davain is a D-tier character in Vampire Survivors: Christine is on the verge of F-tier, but is actually a D-tier character primarily due to her starting weapon, Pentagram. • If Max Health is negative, MissingNo becomes invincible
